The Canada International Youth Public Speaking Contest is a virtual non-profit competition that underscores the essential role of youth participation and leadership, empowering young individuals to build confidence and excel in their personal and professional development. Now in its 7th year, the Annual Canada International Youth Public Speaking Contest is committed to ongoing growth and expansion, aiming to maximize our impact on empowering youth, enhancing their communication skills, and cultivating future leaders.
Event Details
Open to youth aged 8-17 from all nationalities, this event will be held online, providing a convenient and accessible platform for participants from around the world. The tournament will feature three distinct divisions, each categorized by grade level to ensure fair and balanced competition. All divisions will compete in the original oratory format, allowing young speakers to showcase their skills and creativity in delivering compelling speeches.
Bantam: Grades 1-5
Junior: 6-8
Senior: 9 & up
Submission Details
During the preliminary round, participants are required to present a shorter presentation video, with specific length requirements varying by grade level. Selected participants advancing to the semi-final and final rounds will be required to extend their speeches, with specific length requirements also based on participants' grade level.

Bantam: 1 min
Junior: 2 min
Senior: 3 min
Semi-finals & Finals Round:
Bantam: 3 min
Junior: 5 min
Senior: 7 min
